Job Description
The Paediatric Speech-Language Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat communication, language, and swallowing disorders in children from birth to 18 years. Working within a multidisciplinary team at our Children's Wellness Centre, the therapist will provide evidence-based, child-centred care in a warm and supportive environment, empowering children to find their voice and reach their full communicative potential.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for children referred to the centre
Diagnose and develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings
Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions targeting areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, language development, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and feeding/swallowing
Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with professional standards
Requirements
Education - Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Certification - Current RCI certification.
Experience -
Pediatric & Adult patient: At least 1 year of experience
Documentation, including IEPs: At least 1 year of experience
Continuing Education - Complete continuing education to maintain RCI license.
